John Terry Set To Remain In England Squad For Euro 2012

Alstonefield, Staffordshire ( ) February 17, 2012 - For the second time in his career, John Terry has had the England captain's armband taken from him, although the Chelsea defender is reportedly determined to play for his country at Euro 2012.

Terry has been charged with racially abusing Anton Ferdinand and will stand trial straight after the Euro 2012 finals, something which has prompted the FA to remove the player from captaincy duty although the 31-year-old is still available for selection when it comes to this summer's major tournament.

Terry is currently sidelined due to injury and there were reports that the Chelsea skipper was considering his international future in light of the FA intervention, something which was at odds with the opinion of manager Fabio Capello.

Capello has made it clear that he does not agree with the FA's decision, with the Italian having already reinstated Terry as captain following the defender originally losing the armband thanks to a newspaper expose which claimed that the player was having an affair with Wayne Bridge's former girlfriend.

Several people have commented that including Terry in the 23-man squad for the Euro 2012 finals could be problematic considering that Rio Ferdinand is likely to be among those that are also on the plane to Poland, although it appears that the Blues defender isn't ready to hang up his England boots yet.
